My style of therapy

I am an integrative therapist, which means that my training has allowed me to formulate my own personal approach to being a therapist, informed by many different therapy schools and theories, but beholden to none of them. I chose this way of training because I wanted my therapy practice to be a real and genuine reflection of myself as a person and my beliefs about the world. For you as my client, I hope it means that our therapy is a mutually created piece of work in which we are both fully and personally involved, designed to best help you to grow and change for the better.

I am influenced by many schools of therapy, especially solution focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). These influences bring to my work a positive and practical approach which often enables genuine, lasting changes in a shorter number of sessions.

Whatever problems you bring to therapy, rest assured that they will always be addressed in a positive, accepting and non-judgmental manner. I believe that therapy is first and foremost a place where one can be fully accepted and understood: first by the therapist, and ultimately by oneself.
